Area of Research:
A brief study of indicators of collaboration in research fields, with
particular reference to nature and type of collaboration, impact of funding
on collaboration, level of productivity at which authors collaborate among
them, development of new indices of collaboration, etc.
Areas of collaboration between India and other countries, as
reflected in co-authored papers, with a view to study the factors influencing
such collaboration, level at which collaboration takes place, and reasons
for collaboration. It will also explore how such collaboration originates,
areas of collaboration among different institutions, and how benefits of
collaboration are shared among authors and institutions.
In addition, I am interested in modeling the growth of research
output of research specialties, demographic characteristics of research
fields, distribution of author and journal productivity with time in research
fields, and performance evaluation of science and technology, and in different
fields in India.
Currently working on a project involving study of India's collaboration
with different countries and regions.
