Area of Research:
Her research has explored the nature and composition of interdisciplinary domains (cases to date: family studies, vision sciences) in Australia and other countries, and the needs of their communities of scholars for interdisciplinary information. She is currently exploring (using sociological methods) the connections and linkages among the following: reading for research; writing up research; and referencing (citing items previously read that have influenced the research). This latter project is ongoing in 2000.
