Area of Research:
He studied the cognitive structure of the research field of Condensed Matter Physics using scientometric indicators in his doctoral research. His doctoral research work has resulted in number of publications related to the potentiality of the applicability of scientometric indicators to understand the cognitive structure of a research field.
He has also worked on the research profile of Physics - cross-national comparisons, frontier areas of research, etc.
Major statistical techniques utilised in his work are : Multidimensional Scaling, Correspondence analysis, and Social Network analysis.
At present he is trying to study the growth, and collaboration in science intensive technological areas using S&T indicators.
