Member, International Programme Committee of the biannual International
Confereces on Scientometrics and Informetrics.
Has been the Secretary of the Indian Academy of sciences, Bangalore, for two
years (1973 March - 1975 March), editor of scientific journals for 27 years
(1965-1992), and have taught scientometrics at INSDOC for ten years.
On the editorial boards of Scientometrics, Journal of Information Science,
Current Contents (PCES edition), DESIDOC Bulletin of Information Technology,
Current Science, and Indian Journal of History of Science.

Mapping science in India; Relevance of medical research carried out in
India; Science on the periphery; Science in Israel; International
collaboration in science; Improving information access in developing
countries; Cross-cultural flow of knowledge.
