Her Ph.D. thesis dealt with group techniques for creating consensus, specifically the application of the TKJ. She has studied Scientific Communication since 1990, from the point of view of Social Psychology of Science, mostly dealing with scientists' group functioning, processes and performance. The main focus has been on group structure and communication. One of her interests has been the development of 'tacit skills' of future scientists and women scientists' self-esteem. Her present research project is directed towards developing a measure for group formation and collaboration in science in correlation with previously created measures of group processes, such as norms, power, cohesion, group affiliation, disintegration and consensus. The main aspect of her project is to make a comparison between a measure of patterns of collaboration and the process of cohesiveness. In general terms she is interested in the organization of the scientific community, social networks, and group processes that lead to successful research collaboration in developing countries.
